The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam Partners with National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) for Successful Blood Donation Drive

Dar es Salaam 12th June 2025: The Aga Khan Hospital, Dar es Salaam, in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS – Damu Salama), conducted a successful Blood Donation Drive to support life-saving efforts within the community.

The Aga Khan Hospital invited various partners to join in this vital cause, including Aga Khan Education Services, Tanzania (AKEST), DTB Bank, and Jubilee Insurance.

Acknowledging the partners, Dr Caroline Ngimba, Head of Pathology, at the Aga Khan hospital, Dar es Salaam, said, “we sincerely thank our partners for their generous participation, as their staff and management took the time to donate blood. Their support and active involvement were instrumental in the success of the event, helping us save lives and bolster community health. Together, we made a meaningful impact, and we look forward to continuing these efforts through future collaborations”.

The event brought together staff, volunteers, and partners who demonstrated remarkable commitment to this life-saving mission.
